Fan Favorite! Fan Favorite!

Fan favorites are chosen by players because they have a large number of that item at a location, drop an item as loot more often, or make trapping or fishing for one type of monster or fish much easier.

Selection[]

Butterflies[]

Butterflies will respawn if you collect all of the flutters in one location. Butterfly pages should not have a fan favorite listed.

Flowers & Trees[]

Bamboo fanfav

Fan favorites on flower or tree/bush pages are selected based on the number of that item at a location. Most of our pages have the numbers listed out, so finding the fan favorite is as easy as seeing which location offers the most of a flower or tree.

For example, on the Bamboo page two locations both have 105 bamboo each. That is the highest number of bamboo available from any location in the game, so we have marked both locations as fan favorites.

Fish[]

Yabbiefanfav

Fishing locations marked with fan favorite are locations in which only one fish is attracted to a specific bait. We mark the bait used and the location as fan favorites on the fish page. When multiple locations give the same chances, we try to choose the one that is easiest to reach by most players.

For an example, the Yabbie are the only fish attracted to the Green Lure at Urewera. So we have marked both the bait we used and the location as fan favorites on the Yabbie page.

Monsters[]

For monster pages, the only locations that should be marked with the fan favorite tag are spots where there is a greater chance of catching at monster in that spot. These locations are very rare, so most monster pages should not have a fan favorite listed.

Example: If 'Pretend Monster' shows 4 bars at 'Location 1' and 6 bars at 'Location 2', then 'Location 2' can be marked as a Fan Fav.

Clutter Control[]

We Need Your Help!

To cut down on page clutter, we need to limit 'Fan Favorites' to 2, per page.

Exception: Fish pages can have up to 3.

  • 2 Locations: The locations should not be in the same Continent. Having them in different Continents will help a wider range of players
  • 1 Lure: The Lure should be the same for both locations

For an example, visit the Tuna page.

Two of the best spots to catch the Tuna are, Taedong River in North Korea and Guthalungra in Australia. The Blue Guppy Lure is the best lure for both locations.
