The Bai Ze is a type of mystical Monster
“ Its name literally means "white marsh". According to Chinese legend, it dictated a book of all the supernatural monsters of the world to the Yellow Emperor, describing how to overcome their attacks. This book was called the Bai Ze Tu, and while no full copy exists any more - fragments of it are said to be surviving in other texts, and are also carried by the monsters themselves. ”
